4/11 - Rays Win on Walk-Off... Steal?

The Rays beat the Orioles today in a very odd and very rare fassion. Having no score until the sixth inning, Carlos Pena and Evan Longoria hit back to back blasts to take a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the sixth. In the top of the seventh, Melvin Mora hit a solo shot off Rays starter Edwin Jackson narrowing the lead to one run. Then in the top of the ninth, Rays closer Troy Percival gave up the game tying run on a solo shot by Aubrey Huff to tie the game. Then in the bottom of the ninth with Dioner Navarro on third base, Navarro took a dash towards home plate and the Rays won on a walk-off steal of home plate. Rays starting pitcher Edwin Jackson gave the best performance of any Rays pitcher this season pitching seven strong innings giving up just one run on five hits and striking out nine.

Final Score:
Orioles: 2
Rays: 3
