Rays Trade Miller for Cash, Acquire Free Agent Nomo

The Rays have traded minor league relief pitcher Trever Miller to the Detroit Tigers for 12,000 points cash, which is three-fourths of his contract that ends at the end of this season. The Rays have also acquired free agent pitcher Hideo Nomo to a 600 point contract. Nomo will be replacing Miller's spot on the AAA team and could get a call-up to the major league team later in the season.
