7/20 - Rays Acquire C Iannetta from Rockies

ST. PETERSBURG -- The Rays and Rockies have made a swap of backup catchers today, Colorado sending Chris Iannetta to Tampa Bay in exchange for Sean Riggans. Iannetta, 25, had this to say about the trade:

"Yeah, I'm excited to move from a last place team to a team that has a chance at the playoffs. I don't know how much playing time I will get, but I'm looking forward to playing with them."

Iannetta has joined the twenty-five man roster, and is expected to be at the stadium in time for today's game against the Blue Jays.
