The Athletics scored twice in the first on a sacrifice groundout by Jack Cust scoring Mark Ellis from third, and an RBI single by Emil Brown, and that would be all they needed. The Rays scored their only run in the fourth in an RBI single off the bat of Dioner Navarro as Oliver Perez and the Athletics squeak by the Rays with a win.
