NEW YORK -- The Rays have split this two game set with the Yankees, pushing the Yankees back down to three games back. The Rays got started quick in the first with a B.J. Upton two-run home run. Evan Longoria added to that in the third with an RBI single. The Yankees came back to tie it with solo home runs by Alex Rodriguez, Jason Giambi in the fourth, and Bobby Abreu with a lead-off home run in the sixth, but the Rays got those runs back in the eighth, starting with a B.J. Upton lead-off home run, later followed by Evan Longoria with a solo home run, and Cliff Floyd with an RBI single. The Yankees scored one more in the ninth when Jason Giambi led-off the bottom of the inning with a home run off Rays closer Troy Percival, but the Rays still won.
