The Rays scored first with their only two runs of the game in the second with a two-run single by Rocco Baldelli, but Paul Konerko blasted solo shots in back-to back at-bats in the fourth, and again in the seventh to tie it up. The winning run came in the eighth when Nick Swisher belted a two-run homer. Jose Contreras dominated with a two-run, four-hit complete game for just his third win of the season.
