4/13 - Rays Come Out on Top in Veteran Pitchers Duel

The Rays have swept the Baltimore Orioles with their third victory in a rown in an extra innigs walk-off. The main story of this game was the amazing pitching of starting pitchers Hideo Nomo and Steve Trachsel; both pitchers dominating the opposing lineups. In the bottom of the tenth inning, the Rays finally ended it with a walk off single by Cliff Floyd driving in Carlos Pena who was on third base. Both starters pitched complete games, with Nomo making his first appearance of the season, pitching a shutout, giving up only four hits to the Orioles and striking out twelve.
