4/27 - Rays Take Finale, AL East Lead

The Rays have won the third and final game of this three game series against the Red Sox in Tampa Bay, and re-taking sole possession of the division lead. The Red Sox scored first in the sixth with a solo homer off the bat off Jacoby Ellsbury, barely fair, hitting the foul pole. The Rays stormed back in the bottom of the seventh starting with a solo bomb hit by Carlos Pena, followed shortly by a two run homer hit by Dioner Navarro his first of the season. The Rays extended their lead in the bottom of the eighth with a solo homer hit by B.J. Upton. Troy Percival closed it out with his seventh save of the season. Rays starting pitcher Edwin Jackson pitched eighth innings giving up the one run on five hits, and striking out eight for his first win of the season.
