The Rays have won game one of a two game series in Minnesota today. The Rays scored first in the top of the first, but the Twins tied it up in the bottom of the second. The Rays took charge in the top of the third, scoring five times including a two-run homer by Carlos Pena. The Twins scored two runs in the bottom of the third, and one in the sixth, but it wasn't enough. Rays starter J.P. Howell pitched six innings giving up all four of the Twins runs on twelve hits.
